Adaptol composition
Active ingredient: Each tablet contains 500 mg mebhikholuril.
Contraindications
High sensitivity to any component of the product.
Use during pregnancy and lactation
The active ingredient of the product penetrates well into all tissues and fluids of the body.
There are not enough clinical observations regarding its use during pregnancy and lactation, therefore it is not recommended to prescribe the product during these periods.
Directions for use and dosage
Adaptol is taken orally regardless of food intake.
Adults are prescribed 500 mg 2–3 times per day.
The one-time maximum dose is 3 g, and the maximum daily dose is 10 g.
The duration of the treatment course ranges from several days to 2–3 months.
As a means to reduce the tendency to smoke, in combination therapy the product is taken for 5–6 weeks at a dose of 1000 mg per day.
In elderly patients, there is no need to reduce the dose.
In patients with liver failure, dose reduction is not required.
In patients with kidney failure, the dose has not been studied. In such patients, the medicine should be used with caution.
Pediatric population
There is no information on the safety and effectiveness of Adaptol in children and adolescents up to 18 years of age.
If a dose is missed, take it as soon as you remember; when the time for the next dose is approaching, you should skip the missed dose. Never take a double dose.
