Aksen Fort, indications for use
Conditions accompanied by pain syndrome: neuralgia, sciatica, herniated disc, tooth extraction, oral cavity surgeries, episiotomy, postpartum pain, post-operative pain, dysmenorrhea, pain related to insertion of an intrauterine device (IUD), prevention and treatment of migraine attacks. Rheumatoid arthritis, juvenile arthritis, osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, extra-articular rheumatism. Injuries, bone surgeries, gout, LOR and urological inflammatory pain. As an analgesic and antipyretic during infectious diseases.
Contraindications
High sensitivity to naproxen or other NSAIDs, history of asthma, rhinitis, nasal polyps, urticaria. After aorto-coronary bypass surgery, active or history of peptic ulcer and bleeding, stomach bleeding or perforation associated with NSAIDs, severe renal, hepatic and cardiac insufficiency, third trimester of pregnancy.
Use during pregnancy and lactation
There is insufficient information about use in the 1st and 2nd trimesters. In the 3rd trimester, it should not be used due to the risk of premature closure of the arterial duct. Use during lactation is not recommended.
Method of use and dosage
Tablets are taken with food or after food with plenty of water. For pain, the initial dose is 550 mg, then an additional 275–550 mg after 6–8 hours. In rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis: 550 mg twice daily. For migraine: initial dose 825 mg, then if necessary 2 additional doses of 275 mg. Juvenile arthritis: in children over 5 years old, the daily dose of 10 mg/kg is divided into 2 doses. In special groups (elderly, hepatic/renal impairment), the lowest effective dose should be used.
