Composition and directions for use

Aktiv D3 drops are a medicinal product prepared on the basis of cholecalciferol (Vitamin D3). Each 1 ml of solution contains 20,000 IU (international units) of Vitamin D3, i.e. approximately 500 mcg of cholecalciferol. The product also contains excipients—medium-chain triglycerides and α-tocopherol (Vitamin E).

For adults, the daily dose is usually 2–4 drops (approximately 800–1600 IU). For children, use the dose prescribed by the doctor according to age. The drops can be taken together with a small amount of liquid or in the mouth, regardless of meals.

The course of treatment usually lasts 4–6 weeks, but the exact duration is determined by the doctor. Before using the product, shake the bottle well. Use the dropper pipette attached to the bottle to measure the dose accurately.

Key features and contraindications

Aktiv D3 drops play an important role in regulating calcium and phosphorus metabolism. The product has a significant effect on the formation and strengthening of bone tissue, and on strengthening the immune system. Vitamin D3 also plays an important role in the normal functioning of muscle activity, in the prevention of cancer diseases, and in maintaining the health of the cardiovascular system. The product is used for the treatment and prevention of rickets, osteomalacia, and osteoporosis.

Contraindications include hypersensitivity to Vitamin D3, hypercalcemia, nephrocalcinosis, and severe renal impairment. Use with caution in sarcoidosis, hyperparathyroidism, and other granulomatous diseases. During pregnancy and breastfeeding, it can be taken only under medical supervision. Overdose cases present with symptoms of hypercalcemia and hypercalciuria.
