Composition of Albunorm
The composition of Albunorm contains 200 g (200 g/l) human albumin obtained from human plasma in 1 liter of solution (in 50, 100 ml vials). Excipients: sodium ion, potassium ion, N-Acetyl-DL-tryptophan, caprylic acid, water for injection.
Albunorm, indications
The product is used to restore and support the circulating blood volume in patients with volume deficiency.
Contraindications
The use of Albunorm 20% is contraindicated in the following cases: if you are allergic to any of the human albumin medicinal products or to any of the excipients of this medicine (see: “Composition”).
Use during pregnancy and lactation
Human albumin is a normal component of human blood. Harmful effects are not known when this medicinal product is used during pregnancy or lactation. Special attention should be paid to the regulation of blood volume in pregnant women. Consult your doctor before using any medicine.
Albunorm, dosage and administration
Albunorm 20% is ready to use for infusion into a vein (“drip”). The dose and infusion rate (how quickly the albumin is administered into the vein) will depend on your specific situation. Your doctor will decide which treatment is best for you. Instructions: Before use, the medicinal product should be brought to room temperature or body temperature. The solution must be clear and must not contain any precipitate. Any unused solution must be discarded. If you have any questions about the use of this medicinal product, ask your doctor or pharmacist. When human albumin is administered, the patient’s hemodynamic performance should be monitored regularly: arterial blood pressure, pulse; central venous pressure; pressure in the pulmonary artery; amount of urine excreted; electrolytes; hematocrit/hemoglobin; pediatric population.
