Asthma, allergic rhinitis, or urticaria observed after the use of aspirin and other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs in the patient’s history. Bronchial asthma observed after the use of tiaprofenic acid, fenofibrate, or cosmetic products in the patient’s history. The gel should not be used on exudative dermatoses, eczema, or any skin lesion regardless of the type of lesion, and also not on mucous membranes, eyes, anal or genital areas.
Because toxic effects of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs may occur, the use of Aldegin™ gel during pregnancy is not recommended. It should not be used during pregnancy unless clearly necessary. There is no information on whether dexketoprofen passes into breast milk. Therefore, the use of Aldegin™ gel during lactation is not recommended.
No information is available regarding the effect on the ability to drive vehicles and operate other machinery.
Aldegin™ gel is applied to the painful and inflamed area 2–3 times a day. The total daily dose must not exceed 7.5 mg (approximately corresponds to 14 cm of gel). Treatment duration should not exceed 7 days. Aldegin™ gel is for topical use.
To ensure complete absorption, the gel is applied in a thin layer. Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes. Additional information for special patient groups Kidney/Liver impairment Although systemic effects of the gel dosage form are minimal, the systemic effects of NSAIDs depend on absorption through the skin, the amount of gel applied, the surface area of the application site, the degree of integrity of the skin, the duration of treatment, and the use of occlusive dressings (which affect the digestive system and kidneys). Therefore, it should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney or liver impairment.
In pediatric patients, use of the gel is not recommended in children under 6 years of age. Elderly patients No dose adjustment is required in elderly patients.
