Composition of Alloxol
The composition of Alloxol contains, in 1 tablet: 80 mg of dried ox bile, 40 mg of dried garlic, 25 mg of activated charcoal, and 5 mg of nettle leaf. Excipients: magnesium oxide, potato starch, talc, colloidal silicon dioxide (aerosil), calcium stearate. Coating: sucrose (sugar), magnesium hydroxycarbonate (basic magnesium carbonate), colloidal silicon dioxide (aerosil), titanium dioxide, povidone (polyvinylpyrrolidone), talc, coloring agent tropeolin O, beeswax.
Alloxol: indications for use
As part of complex treatment of chronic reactive hepatitis, cholangitis, acalculous (non-calculous) cholecystitis, hypokinetic-type dyskinesia of the biliary tract, atonic constipation, and post-cholecystectomy syndrome.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity, calculous cholecystitis, obstructive jaundice, acute hepatitis, acute and subacute liver dystrophy, peptic ulcer disease of the stomach and duodenum (in the exacerbation stage), acute enterocolitis, acute pancreatitis, children under 12 years of age, sucrose/isomaltase deficiency, intolerance to fructose, glucose-galactose malabsorption (because it contains sucrose).
Use during pregnancy and lactation
During pregnancy and lactation, the product may be used based on a doctor’s prescription, in cases where the benefit to the mother outweighs the risk to the fetus or child.
Alloxol: directions for use
Oral use: for 3–4 weeks, 1–2 tablets 3–4 times daily after meals. For children over 12 years: for 3–4 weeks, 1 tablet 3 times daily (after meals). A repeat course of treatment can be carried out with a 3-month interval.
