ALTABS film-coated tablets

Altabs composition

Active ingredients: 1 tablet contains 5 mg of levocetirizine dihydrochloride.
Excipients: lactose monohydrate, microcrystalline cellulose, titanium dioxide, povidone K 25, anhydrous colloidal silicon dioxide, sodium croscarmellose, magnesium stearate, hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (HPMC), macrogol (PEG 6000), titanium dioxide (E171), talc.

Indications

Treatment of symptoms (itching, sneezing, rhinorrhea, tearing, conjunctival hyperemia) in persistent (continuous) and seasonal (intermittent) allergic rhinitis and allergic conjunctivitis throughout the year;
Pollinosis (hay fever);
Urticaria, including chronic idiopathic urticaria, and angioedema;
Other allergic dermatoses accompanied by itching and rash.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to any component of the product or to piperazine derivatives;
End-stage renal failure (CrCl <10 ml/min);
Children under 2 years of age;
Pregnancy and lactation.

Use during pregnancy and lactation

Because there is no information on the safety and effectiveness of the product during pregnancy and lactation, its use is not recommended.

Altabs dosage and administration

The product is taken orally with a small amount of water with food or before food intake, without chewing.
Children over 6 years and adults: the daily dose is 5 mg.
Children aged 2–6 years: 1.25 mg twice daily, daily dose 2.5 mg.
In patients with renal impairment and elderly patients, the dose should be adjusted individually.
