How to use Alte 17 and dosage

Children aged 3 to 6 years: 5 ml 2–3 times per day. Children aged 6 to 12 years: 5 ml 2–3 times per day. Children over 12 years and adults: 10 ml 3–4 times per day

Pharmacological properties

The marshmallow syrup has a softening, coating, anti-inflammatory and expectorant effect. During hydrolysis, it forms galacturonic acid, galactose, glucose, rhamnose and arabinose, and contains highly concentrated mucilaginous substances obtained from the medicinal marshmallow root. These substances cover inflamed or very sensitive surfaces in the form of a protective layer, helping them heal more quickly. The substance also has an antitussive effect.

Side effects

Up to now, no additional side effects have been observed; however, if there is high sensitivity to benzoic acid, the use of the medicinal product is not recommended.
