Composition of Ametazon

Active ingredient: 1 mg mometasone furoate is contained in 1 g of cream.

Indications for use

− Psoriasis
− Atopic dermatitis
− All dermatoses that respond positively to treatment with corticosteroids

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the product. Contraindicated in acne vulgaris, perioral dermatitis, itching in the perianal and genital area, diaper dermatitis, bacterial (impetigo), viral (herpes simplex, herpes zoster, chickenpox) and fungal (candida or dermatophyte) infections, varicella, tuberculosis, syphilis, or reactions after vaccination.

Use during pregnancy and lactation

Pregnancy category is C. During pregnancy and lactation, the product must not be used in high doses and for long periods. During pregnancy, it is used only after assessing the benefit-risk balance. During lactation, it is prescribed with caution.

Use in pediatrics

In children up to 2 years of age, the use of mometasone furoate is carried out under the supervision of a doctor. Since the ratio of skin surface area to body weight is high, the hypothalamic-pituitary system and adrenal glands are more sensitive to effects. It may be used in children over 2 years of age. Use for more than 5 days is not recommended. Not used in diaper dermatitis.

How to use Ametazon

The cream is applied to the damaged area of the skin once daily in a thin layer. In children over 2 years of age, it is used with the same dosing regimen. In children, it should not be used for more than 5 days.
