Aminazin-Zdorovye composition

Coated tablets Active ingredient:In 1 tablet there is 25 mg chlorpromazine hydrochloride.Excipients: calcium hydrophosphate, microcrystalline cellulose, potato starch, anhydrous colloidal silicon dioxide,calcium stearate, stearic acid, macrogol 4000, talc,hypromellose, titanium dioxide (E 171), Sunset Yellow FCF dye (110).

Indications:

Adults. Chronic paranoid and hallucinatory-paranoid conditions, psychomotor agitation states in schizophrenia (hallucinatory-delusional, hebephrenic, catatonic syndromes), alcoholic psychosis, manic agitation in manic-depressive psychosis, mental disorders in epilepsy, in patients suffering from presenile psychosis and manic-depressive psychosis—agitated depression and also other diseases accompanied by agitation and tension; neurological diseases accompanied by increased muscle tone; treatment and prophylaxis of vomiting occurring during treatment with antiemetic drugs and during radiation therapy in Meniere’s disease, vomiting; persistent hiccups; pruritic dermatoses; as part of complex therapy in the following cases: persistent pain, including causalgias (together with analgesics), sleep disorders of a persistent nature (together with hypnotic drugs and tranquilizers). Children. Schizophrenia, autism.

Contraindications:

High sensitivity to chlorpromazine and other components of the product; severe disorders of liver function (cirrhosis, hepatitis, hemolytic jaundice) and/or severe disorders of kidney function (nephritis, acute pyelitis, amyloidosis of the kidneys), severe disorders of the functions of the hematopoietic organs; progressive systemic diseases of the brain and spinal cord (slow neuroinfections, e.g., multiple sclerosis); the acute stage of peptic ulcer disease of the stomach and duodenum; myxedema; severe cardiovascular diseases (decompensated heart failure and heart defects, severe myocardial dystrophy, severe arterial hypotension, late stages of rheumatic carditis); thromboembolism; late stage of bronchiectasis; closed-angle glaucoma; urinary retention due to hyperplasia of the prostate gland; stroke, acute period of head injury; gallstones and kidney stones; acute infectious diseases; severe central nervous system (CNS) depression, comatose states, brain injuries, and also use of barbiturates, alcohol, and narcotics.

Use during pregnancy and lactation:

Use of the product during pregnancy is not recommended. When there is an absolute necessity to use the product during pregnancy, the duration of treatment should be limited, and in the last trimester of pregnancy the dose of the product should be reduced as much as possible. Chlorpromazine prolongs labor. In pregnant women using the Aminazin product at high doses, in newborns sometimes gastrointestinal disorders associated with the atropine-like effect of the product and extrapyramidal symptoms have been observed. If it is necessary to use the product during lactation, breastfeeding should be discontinued. Aminazin and its metabolites pass through the placental barrier and penetrate into breast milk.

How to use Aminazin-Zdorovye, dosage

The product should be taken orally, after meals. Depending on the indications and the patient’s condition, the doctor determines the doses, frequency of use, and treatment regimen individually. Doses should be selected starting from the minimal dose and increasing. The duration of treatment is from 3 weeks to 2–4 months and longer. For adults, the starting dose is 25–75 mg, divided into 2–3 intakes per day. Later, the dose can be gradually increased up to an effective maintenance daily dose, usually 75–300 mg, divided into 3–4 intakes per day, although some patients may require a daily dose of 1 g. In elderly patients, and in patients suffering from liver and cardiovascular diseases, the dose should be reduced 2–3 times. Persistent hiccups. For adults, it is necessary to prescribe 25–50 mg 3–4 times per day. For children over 5 years of age, it is necessary to prescribe 1/3–1/2 of the dose established for adults; the maximum daily dose is 75 mg, divided into several intakes. Children. Used for the treatment of autism and schizophrenia in children over 5 years of age.
