Amoxicillin is indicated for the treatment of the following infections in adults and children: acute bacterial sinusitis; acute otitis media; acute streptococcal tonsillitis and pharyngitis; exacerbation of chronic bronchitis; community-acquired pneumonia; acute cystitis; asymptomatic bacteriuria during pregnancy; acute pyelonephritis; typhoid and paratyphoid; dental abscess with spreading cellulitis; infections of prosthetic joints; eradication of Helicobacter pylori; Lyme disease. Amoxicillin is also indicated for prophylaxis of endocarditis. Consider the official recommendations on the safe use of antibacterial medicinal products.
Contraindications:
High sensitivity to any component of the product, hypersensitivity to beta-lactam antibiotics (including other penicillins, cephalosporins, carbapenems, etc.), atopic dermatitis, bronchial asthma, pollinosis, infectious mononucleosis, lymphocytic leukemia, hepatic insufficiency, diseases of the gastrointestinal system in the medical history (especially colitis associated with the use of antibiotics), lactation period, sucrase/isomaltase deficiency, intolerance to fructose, malabsorption of glucose-galactose.
Use during pregnancy and lactation:

During lactation (breastfeeding), amoxicillin should be used with caution.
How to use amoxicillin, dosage
Dosage regimen When treating individual infections, the dosage regimen must take into account: ● the suspected pathogens and their possible sensitivity to antibacterial medicinal products; ● the severity and localization of the infection; ● the patient’s age, weight, and renal function, as described below. The duration of treatment should, as a rule, be as short as possible depending on the type of infection and the patient’s clinical response. Some infections require longer treatment (“See the section ‘Special instructions and precautions’”).
