Composition and directions for use
Amoxicillin 500mg capsules are a broad-spectrum antibiotic preparation that belongs to the beta-lactam antibiotic group. Each capsule contains 500 mg of the active ingredient amoxicillin trihydrate. The product is used to treat bacterial infections and is an antibiotic belonging to the penicillin group.
The capsules are taken by mouth and are usually used 3 times a day at 8-hour intervals. The dosage is determined by the doctor depending on the severity of the disease and the patient’s age. The capsules should be swallowed with plenty of water during meals or between meals.
The course of treatment usually lasts 5–10 days and should be continued for 2–3 days after symptoms disappear. Stopping the treatment course prematurely may cause bacteria to develop resistance.
Key features and contraindications
