Anaferon, indications for use
Prevention and treatment of acute respiratory viral infections (including influenza). As part of complex therapy for infections caused by herpes viruses (infectious mononucleosis, chickenpox, labial herpes, genital herpes). As part of complex therapy and prevention of recurrences of chronic herpes virus infection. As part of complex therapy and prevention of acute and chronic viral infections caused by tick-borne encephalitis virus, enterovirus, rotavirus, coronavirus, and calicivirus. It is used as part of complex therapy of bacterial infections and in states of immunodeficiency.
Contraindications
Individual high sensitivity to the components of the product. The “Anaferon for Children” product is indicated for children and individuals under 18 years of age.
Use during pregnancy and lactation
Safety of use during pregnancy and lactation has not been studied. When taking it is necessary, the risk/benefit ratio should be considered.
Directions for use and dosage
For oral use (not during food intake). The tablet should be kept in the mouth until it dissolves completely. For ARVI and herpes infections: on day 1, 8 tablets (1 tablet every 30 minutes during the first 2 hours, then 3 times), from day 2 until recovery, 1 tablet 3 times a day. For prevention: 1 tablet per day for 1–3 months. In the acute phase of genital herpes: 8 tablets per day for 1–3 days, then 4 tablets per day for 3 weeks. In chronic recurrences: 1 tablet per day; the course is individual, up to 6 months. In immunodeficiency and bacterial infections: 1 tablet per day. Can be used together with other antiviral agents.
