ANAFERON composition

The Anaferon composition contains 0.003 g of affinity-purified antibodies against human gamma interferon in 1 tablet

Anaferon indications for use

Prevention and treatment of acute respiratory viral infections (including influenza). As part of complex therapy for infections caused by herpes viruses (infectious mononucleosis, chickenpox, labial herpes, genital herpes). Complex therapy and prevention of recurrences of chronic herpes virus infection, including labial and genital herpes. Complex therapy and prevention of acute and chronic viral infections caused by tick-borne encephalitis virus, enterovirus, rotavirus, coronavirus, and calicivirus. Use as part of complex therapy for bacterial infections. Used in immunodeficiency conditions.

Contraindications

Individual high sensitivity to the components of the product. Children up to 1 month.

Use during pregnancy and lactation

The safety of using Anaferon for children during pregnancy and lactation has not been studied. When taking the product is necessary, the risk/benefit ratio should be considered.

Directions for use and dosage

For oral use (not during food intake). Keep the tablet in the mouth until it dissolves completely. Prescribed for children from 1 month of age. For younger children (1 month–3 years), when prescribing the product, it is recommended to dissolve the tablet in slightly (1 tablespoon) boiled water at room temperature until dissolved. ARVI, influenza, intestinal infections, herpesvirus infections, neuroinfections: On the first day of treatment—8 tablets (during the first 2 hours, 1 tablet every 30 minutes—total 5 tablets), then 1 tablet 3 times a day at equal intervals. From the second day until recovery—1 tablet 3 times a day. Prevention: 1 tablet per day for 1–3 months. In the acute phase of genital herpes: 8 tablets per day for 1–3 days, then 4 tablets per day for 3 weeks. In chronic recurrences: 1 tablet per day; the course is individual, up to 6 months. In immunodeficiency and bacterial infections: 1 tablet per day. Can be used together with other antiviral agents.
