Analgin ampoules are a strong painkiller and fever-reducing medicine based on the active ingredient metamizole sodium. Each ampoule contains 2 ml of solution, including 500 mg metamizole sodium and excipients. The medicine is administered by injection and acts quickly in the body.
During use, the drug can be injected intramuscularly or intravenously. For adults, the daily dose is 1–2 ampoules and should be used according to the doctor’s recommendations. For children, the dose is calculated based on body weight and must be used under strict pediatric supervision.
The effect of the medicine begins 15–30 minutes after injection and lasts for 4–6 hours. Analgin is especially effective for acute pain syndromes, high fever, and inflammatory processes.
Analgin ampoules have strong analgesic and antipyretic properties. The medicine works by blocking the transmission of pain impulses in the central nervous system and by affecting the center that regulates body temperature, normalizing body temperature. Metamizole sodium belongs to the group of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and inhibits the synthesis of prostaglandins. The injection form provides faster and stronger effects compared to oral preparations.
Contraindications include allergy to metamizole sodium, severe liver and kidney failure, bronchial asthma, and disorders of the blood count. During pregnancy and breastfeeding, the medicine can be used only when there are vital indications and under strict medical supervision. During long-term use, it is recommended to monitor blood tests. Side effects may include allergic reactions, headache, and discomfort from the gastrointestinal system.
